  • JSU Design Wins a 2014 Web Award

Back in 2014, I designed and the Beacon team built a new responsive site for Jacksonville State University in Cascade CMS. It’s launch was met with a flurry of positive feedback on all the social media outlets. The clients thought highly of their new site, and they submitted it for a Web Award that same year. The site won and received an award for Outstanding Website.

This client was such a pleasure to work with. We enjoyed a great working relationship throughout the entire process and everyone involved was so pleased with the results.  I am very appreciate that they felt moved to submit the site into the 2014 Web Awards.

  • Featured Palette

I haven’t had a favorite color since I was very very young. Color to me is so contextual. What is really pleasing depends depends on how it is used. I can’t bring myself to see one color as being superior to another color because there are just too many variables that influence how I perceive that color. The same orange that makes autumn leaves so wonderful would be be awful applied to your kitchen curtains or a car interior.

    There are no absolute truths.

Subsequently, I can’t ever say that I have an absolute favorite color palette, but above is one palette that I’ve been working with recently that I’ve grown quite fond of.
